How do I get to Tortola?

You can either fly into Cyril E. King Airport (STT) on St. Thomas and then take a ferry or water taxi to Tortola, or you can fly into Beef Island (EIS) on Tortola and taxi to Long Bay Beach Resort or your villa. We recommend flying into STT as it is the cheaper option.

NYC (JFK) to St. Thomas (STT) Direct Flight Options:

Thursday, April 24th: JFK-STT at 8:35 AM (Delta Flight Number: DL 1930).

Thursday, April 24th: JFK-STT at 7:40 AM (American Flight Number: AA 2910).

Friday, April 25th: There are several flights through American Airlines & Delta.

NYC to Beef Island (EIS) Flight Options:

You can fly into Beef Island (EIS) which is on Tortola, however, this itinerary is more costly than flying into ST. Thomas (STT). The taxi from EIS to the resort or villa will be about 45 minutes.

Other Flight Options:

It is not required to take any of the flights we recommended. Feel free to book whatever is best for your schedule.

Ferry from St. Thomas to Tortola:

When you land on St. Thomas (STT), take a taxi to Red Hook and catch a ferry to West End, Tortola. The taxi from STT to Red Hook is about 30 minutes. We advise to book your ferry in advance from Aquatic Rentals. Click Book Now and select the Red Hook departure location. Then select the Red Hook to West End option. If you are taking one of our recommended flights, you should select the 2:30pm departure option. Depending on your return flight, please do what time option is best for you on Sunday but please leave ample time to catch your flight! You will need to provide your passport information as you will go through Customs on the ferry.

Private Water Taxis:

There are several water taxi companies that will provide you with ground transportation from baggage claim to the dock. They will also take care of all your BVI Customs & Immigration paperwork while you relax on the boat with a cold beverage in hand. While a bit pricier than a ferry, it is a smooth and easy transfer from USVI to BVI! We recommend using Chillout Charters or Island Time Water Taxi. Soper's Hole is the closest drop-off to Long Bay.

REMINDER:

Passport is required for travel between BVI and USVI.
